Hi Everyone,
Well, it looks like my initial post did not take, so here it is again -- I would like to introduce myself to everyone out there. My name is Will, but I am better known as rdscrypto. I have joined the RUPEE team in the capacity of running this blog, implementation of commercial features, public relations, and more. We aim to turn RUPEE into a broadly-accepted cryptocurrency that will be user-friendly and easily-deployed for merchants. As our community grows, we are looking for the best and brightest ideas from our user base. This is best accomplished using tools such as this blog as well as our upcoming newsletter and subreddit. This page is under heavy construction, so check back frequently. If you want to be a part of the community via our newsletter, for now, you can just use the "Contact Us" page to send me a message letting me know you want receive updates. I will compile the initial newsletter list as such. We want RUPEE to be a digital currency that people use for everyday life. Bitcoin has turned into an investment tool instead of such a currency. That said, Bitcoin is a great tool and is currently what RUPEE trades against. Nice to meet everyone, and I hope to talk to you all soon -- either here, via email, or through our upcoming subreddit. Thanks, Will (rdscrypto)

I seem to have left this out of my initial post - my apologies!
As many of you know, RUPEE is a new digital cryptocurrency (Scrypt algorithm). I have just joined the RUPEE development team in order to formulate a project roadmap, whitepaper, this blog, as well as some other feature implementation and public relations. Our goal is to create a cryptocurrency that truly can be used like cash. The goal, in that respect, will be merchant integration. What I mean by this is -- we aim for the currency to be able to be used to do anything. So, if you want to go through the drive-thru of a fast food restaurant, the end-result is that you will be able to pull out a payment card that uses your RUPEE to pay. This will have to be critically different than some of the crypto debit cards out there, and as we progress, our team members and community members will be able to come up with ways of implementing these ideas the most efficient way possible. Instead of current offerings that allow on-the-fly conversion of altcoins to the local fiat -- our goal is one that is revolutionary in nature -- we want the merchant to actually take RUPEE!! One last thing, actually -- this site is under HEAVY construction as of now. Be on the look out for features to the blog in the future such as newsletter subscriptions and live price updates. We will also be launching a subreddit soon, in order to create buzz and interest around RUPEE to show the world that we are not just another cryptocurrency in a very crowded market -- we aim to be the future! |
